An SS-Totenkopfring for 'Untersturmführer Dr. Gerhard von der Weth
Ring made of silver, with separate attached Totenkopf, inside with engraving "S.lb. von der Weth 21.12.43 H. Himmler"; ring measures inside diameter 20,09mm; ring is worn, but with minimum signs of wear, in very fine condition. This ring was awarded to "SS-Untersturmführer Dr. Gerhard von der Weth" who was from Bad Salzuflen; he was born on 27th. December 1891 in Plauen. In 1933 he was an Oberarzt in Berlin-Beelitz; he was promoted to the rank of Untersturmführer at 30th. January 1938; later, he was at San. Abt. XVII, SS-No. 132.458 and NSDAP Partei No. 1.798.860. This lot comes also with: his military-passport, signed at 1st. April 1911 as Einjährig; he was a Freiwilliger, in Infantry-Regiment 19, with standard entries, with rank promotion to Gefreiten, Unteroffizier and Reserve Offiziers-Anwärter, with entry of following award EK 2 1914; also, 3 donation forms from WHW, 8 sent post cards; a wooden plate celebrating the birth of his son, with engraved text "Ulrich-Adold v.d.Weth, geboren am 28.7.1942", backside with "SS Sturm 12/72", diameter aprox. 34 cm. Also, with another similar wood carved plate, (and according to the family - given to his sister Meghtilde); it measures aprox. 30cm in diameter.
