A Japanese Military Reservist Officer's Rank Badge - Orange Version;Two-piece construction, silver and green enamels with a gilt star, 22 mm x 30.3 mm, vertical pinback, light contact, near extremely fine. In its orange cardboard box of issue, gilt characters on the lid, stamped on the bottom, three handwritten characters in black ink on the underside of the lid, one torn corner and slightly soiled on the lid, box very fine. Footnote: The various officers were given enamelled badges, indicating their rank or position in the group. There are four different colors (blue, green, red and orange), with each coming in a box that was the same colour as the badge. The inscription on the box (as well as the inscription on the badge reverse) stated who wore that colour of badge. The orange badge was awarded to Group Leaders and Vice-Leaders, as well as Unit Leaders and its Vice-Leaders.
