Bronze gilt, voided tilted square in the centre, obverse with the letters "C.R.E." and the date "1900" in simulated Chinese character strokes, surrounded by the inscription " "NOT TO CONQUER BUT TO SAVE" ", reverse engraved "FRANCIS ROTCH JR." and number impressed "42", 32.5 mm, original ribbon, suspended from a hanger with pinback, the hanger illustrating a dragon, very light contact, near extremely fine.
