Brunei. Long Service Medal by Spink of London
Pingat Kerja Lama. Instituted in 1954. In silver, obverse illustrating the coat-of-arms of Brunei and inscribed "BRUNEI / LONG SERVICE MEDAL" below, reverse illustrating the Secretariat Building in Bandar Seri Begawan (formerly Brunei Town) and maker marked "SPINK LONDON" below, measuring 35 mm in diameter, original ribbon with horizontal pinback marked "SPINK & SON Ltd". Accompanied by its Miniature, measuring 18 mm in diameter, original ribbon with vertical pinback marked "SPINK & SON Ltd". Extremely fine. In their hardshelled case of issue, marked "BRUNEI / LONG SERVICE MEDAL" on the lid, maker marked "SPINK & SON, LTD. LONDON" on the inside lid, black velvet medal bed, dual-hinged, push release, case also extremely fine. Footnote: The Long Service Medal was instituted in 1954, to be awarded for a minimum of eighteen years’ blameless service and may be awarded to both civilians and military.
