Instituted in 1944. Two-piece construction, in gilt metal with red, white, blue and green enamels, number impressed "229784" on the reverse, measuring 51 mm (w) x 66.5 mm (h), intact enamels, very light contact, lightly soiled original ribbon with pinback, near extremely fine.
Footnote: The Order of Loyalty and Diligence was created on September 23, 1944 for persons who contribute ten years' service in the military and meeting academic criteria. It is awarded for contributions to national security or quelling internal unrest.
