Two-piece construction, in bronze, unmarked, illustrating a series of small bumps/pebbling in the centre with emanating rays, mounted to a twelve-pointed base, all of which represent the Chinese sun, measuring 41 mm (w) x 47.3 mm (h) inclusive of its integral ring, suspended from a 44.3 mm (w) x 23.5 mm (h) hanger inscribed "EXPERT GUNNER / U.S.A. CHINA", exhibiting contact marks and spotting, better than very fine.
Footnote: The U.S. Chinese Combat and Training Command Expert Gunner Badge was awarded in the latter part of the Second World War by the U.S. China Combat Training Command to Chinese troops. The badge was issued in two language versions: English and Chinese.
