What's a max bid?

Instituted in 1941. Hardshelled design on both the lid and base, wooden-framed, the exterior with a maroon dimpled cloth covering on all sides, a blue and white enamelled Republic of China sun insignia, resting upon a stylized plum blossom, framed by an open-ended wreath and tied with a ribbon at its base, with an inscription in Chinese framed by the ends of the ribbon in gold-coloured ink, inside lid lined in white satin, padded, marked and exhibiting the impressions of the once present badge and breast star, the base lined in dark yellow felt and incorporating a raised platform in dark yellow felt, with a recessed medal bed for the sash badge and a raised circular and slotted medal bed for the breast star, long-hinged, single clasp closure, measuring 127 mm (w) x 280 mm (h) x 52 mm (d), wrinkling evident on the maroon cloth covering on the lid and base, the latch having experienced extensive oxidation and causing greening, the receiving piece on the base missing a pin and forcing the plate to dangle and come away from the body of the case, the inside with the support ribbon having severed from the lid, with light soiling in the yellow felt in the medal bed, near fine.
