It consists of one hundred and twenty-one black pages, each of the pages containing multiple ribbon swatches fed through slotted areas on the pages, each with a sticker placed below identifying the particular swatch. The binder has very thick front and back covers, the exteriors of both with a textured maroon look, the front cover with an 82 mm (w) x 105 mm (h) Cruisers Battle Force U.S.S. Omaha label, each of the covers lined in a floral motif in blue and gold inks, the binding consisting of three 90 mm long aluminum screwposts along the left spine, measuring 485 mm in width x 305 mm in height x 80 mm in depth, exhibiting wear on the exterior, extremely fine.
This offering is a part of the "Dr. Albert Goodwin Collection", a preeminent assemblage of world Orders, Medals, and Decorations composed solely by Dr.Goodwin between 1946-1967. Dr. Goodwin had a successful career as an educator and prominent physician in New York as well as actively serving in both World Wars with the United States Medical Corps. He acted as both President and Vice-President of the Orders and Medals Society of America (OMSA) and is responsible for organizing their first convention in 1960. He maintained further membership with the American Society of Military Collectors, the International Orders Research Society, and the American Numismatic Society.
