What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

Includes: a Wallet (in black leather, with a pebbled exterior, gilt characters on the facing inside panel, with two cotton lined pockets, measuring 158 mm (w) x 95 mm (h)); a Naval Officer's Cap Badge (silvered fouled anchor and cherry blossom insignias, framed by a wreath in silvered and gold-coloured bullion wire, in various textures, on a black felt base, black paper backer, measuring 76 mm (w) x 65 mm (h)); five Photographs (black and white, three of which have faded to a sepia-toned look, two with a gloss finish, the other three with a matte finish, two with a naval theme, three are studio portraits, ranging in size from 31 mm (w) x 53 mm (h) to 72 mm (w) x 105 mm (h)); and three Banknotes (a pair of two yen notes, measuring 103 mm (w) x 50 mm (h) each, exhibiting wear; a Japanese Government One Dollar note, measuring 140 mm (w) x 66 mm (h)).
