Japan, Empire. An Order of the Sacred Treasure, First Class Grand Cross, c.1910

A sash badge in silver gilt with four white enameled arms each consisting of four individual rays, together with red glass surround affixed by four rivets, obverse center in silver, measuring 65mm (w) x70 mm (h - inclusive of horizontally pierced ball suspension), no chipping to enamels of red glass, in near mint condition. Accompanied by Grand Cross Star of the order, also in silver gilt with eight multirayed white enameled arms, with red glass surround, reverse with dual stays and retaining pin assembly, measuring 76mm (w) x 76mm (h), with no chipping to enamels of red glass, in near mint condition; together with a fine quality period sash, full length; accompanied with a button-hole miniature ribbon; and with a fitting case insert,constructed of velvet covered wood (case is missing). A very fine quality set of insignia in top condition.
