A Beautiful II Class Star, comprising an eight armed star with clusters of five with enamel rays with singular blue enamel ray between each cluster, the center features a silver star on a blue field, surrounded by a gilt pebbled and smooth ring and a red enamelled eight point star composed of ball finials at the tips and knees, the reverse features a single vertical pin flanked by dual stays, with Japanese characters in the center, measures 75.5mm (w) x 76mm (h), weighs 86.0 grams, light crazing on several white rays, light wear on silver star, hinge and clasp functional, in near extremely fine condition.
Contained in its original case of issue, featuring a black exterior with Japanese characters on the obverse, the interior presents a rich purple silk lid and velvet recessed medalbed for star and boutonniere pin (not included with star), case measures 115mm (w) x 168mm (l) x 48mm (d), case in extremely fine condition.
