An Imperial Japanese Army Type 90 Combat helmet constructed of magnetic metal, the exterior is in an olive painted finish. There is a small slot at the front where the Japanese five-pointed star was affixed. Four small holes are punched at the top left and right sides of the helmet for ventilation. The left and right sides of the helmet bear two small rivets and one large rivet. The back of the helmet bears two rivets. The interior of the helmet bears a brown leather liner which is secured to the helmet with three metal loops. The loops are threaded with a light interwoven strap. The top of the liner is secured with a small interwoven rope. The liner is bears small pockets that tie with olive green straps and bear three pouches stuffed with a white fibrous material. One of the pockets is marked in black with Japanese writing. Measuring 235 mm (w) x 270 mm (l), 190 mm (h). Apparent wear due to age and use, but otherwise fine.
