In their hardshelled case of issue, balsa wood frame, black lacquer finish, gilt characters on the lid, inside lid lined in violet satin, medal bed lined in violet felt.
2. 2600th National Anniversary Commemorative Medal 1940 (2600 Shūnenkinen medaru). Instituted in 1940. In bronze with a gilt chrysanthemum, measuring 30.5 mm x 36 mm (h) inclusive of its integral suspension, original ribbon with hook and eye. In its hardshelled case of issue, wooden-framed, silvered characters on the lid, yellow felt recessed medal bed, light scuffing on the lid.
3. Japanese Red Cross Men's Life Membership Medal, II Class Silver Grade (Nihonsekijūjisha menzu jinsei kaiin medaru). Instituted in 1888. In aluminum, measuring 29.3 mm in diameter, large rosette affixed to its original ribbon with hook and eye. Accompanied by its 12.7 mm (w) x 12.7 mm (h) rosette, in its wooden-framed box of issue, violet med bed.
