(Pingat Kemahkota'an Sultan Ibrahim) Circular silver medal on swivel scroll suspension; the face with the Kelantan crown centrally with elements of the Kelantan arms and inscribed in Malay written in Arabic characters ‘Sultan Ibrahim Kelantan’; the reverse inscribed in Malay written in Arabic characters (without the unwritten small vowels) ‘Dmhkootakn / Dbali Lbsr / Krajan’; diameter 31mm (1.22 inches); on an incorrect ribbon (the correct ribbon is black with four vertical gold central stripes in two pairs).
The Medal was instituted by Sultan Ibrahim to commemorate his Coronation on 25 October 1944 and awarded in a single class as a silver medal.
Paduka Sri Sultan Sir Ibrahim IV Petra ibn Almarhum Sultan Muhammad IV, KCMG, (9 August 1897 – 9 July 1960) was Sultan of Kelantan from 20 June 1944 until his death in 1960.
He was succeeded as Sultan by his second son, Yahya Petra. An image of him wearing this, his father’s coronation medal is attached.
