무공훈장武功勳章. Instituted in 1950. Type III (1967-1973). In silver with red and blue enamels, measuring 41 mm (w) x 56.5 mm (h) inclusive of its star and wreath suspension, intact enamels, original ribbon with pinback, extremely fine.
Footnote: The Order of Military Merit was instituted on October 18, 1950. It was awarded to military personnel, for outstanding conduct during wartime or in a state of emergency, originally in four classes, which was later changed to five classes in 1963. It was revised in 1963, in 1967 and again in 1973.
