I Class: in gilt aluminum with red enamels, measuring 42.5 mm (w) x 39.5 mm (h), on a five-sided folded ribbon with pinback, chipping evident in the red enamels: II Class: in silvered and gilt aluminum with red enamels, measuring 40.3 mm (w) x 39 mm (h), on a five-sided folded ribbon with pinback; and III Class: in silvered aluminum with red enamels, measuring 41 mm (w) x 39 mm (h), on a five-sided folded ribbon with pinback. Ranging from better than very fine to extremely fine.
Footnote: The Medal of Freedom was established in 1955 in three classes, for outstanding achievements for the Lao People's Democratic Republic, for individuals or a unit, for both Laotians or foreigners. They are reported to be Vietnamese-made.
