Three-piece construction, in silver gilt with red, white, yellow, green and light blue enamels, number engraved "212" on the reverse, measuring 52 mm (w) x 52.5 mm (h), screwback, fine chipping evident in the red enamels on the left end of the red banner and in the white enamels on the circular disk between 5 and 6 o'clock, otherwise the enamels are intact, traces of gilt remains on the emanating rays on the star base, better than very fine.
Footnote: The Order of the Red Banner of Military Valour was instituted in 1926 as the Order of Military Valour. It was renamed in 1945 as the Order of the Red Banner, the design of the medallion having been changed several times, then renamed to the Order of the Red Banner for Military Valour in 1993. It is awarded for military services, and for strengthening the armed forces of the Republic. The medal has been awarded to citizens as well as foreigners and institutions for services to the state.
