An Ornate Yemeni Jambiya with Belt - The short curved steel blade measures 230 mm in length and has a raised fuller on both sides, the saifani hilt has a wooden T-shaped grip, with multiple nails placed along the blackened upper, a bronze disk with a stamped coat-of-arms at both ends, both disks having been held in place by metal pins, the one at the blade end capped, the one at the far end having lost its cap to time, with surface rust on the blade, the jambiya measuring 320 mm in length overall. The accompanying sheath fully wrapped in leather from the blade entry point to the tip, multiple strands of green cotton traversing the obverse of the sheath and stitched in place on the reverse, the sheath inserted into a leather belt strap on the reverse and tied in place with a strand of leather to the body of the sheath, the accompanying ornate patterned belt in fine silver threading, with accents of blue, green, purple and black embroidery, purple corduroy uppers at both ends, one end with a magnetic metal buckle, the other end with a long reinforced tab with overlaying leather strap, the strap with ten holes for belt length adjustment, and covered by an additional strap that matches the aforementioned belt itself in design and fabric, ultramarine blue cotton backer, the belt exhibiting a rip in the fabric at the buckle end.
