A Rare Chinese Republic Army Reserve Guangdong Province Splendid Achievement Medal

Two-piece construction, the medal in the shape of an eight-pointed star, the obverse illustrating crossed flags with an inscription, the Republic of China 1912-1929 flag at the left and the State Ensign at the right, along with an inscription on the reverse, 38.5 mm x 39 mm, accompanied by an independent 40.2 mm x 46.8 mm silvered bronze ring incorporating a wreath of laurel leaves and ornate framing, which fronts the medal, both pieces held in place via a blue wire to their original ribbon. Very light contact, near extremely fine. Footnote: The Guangdong Province Stratocracy Medal was issued for "Splendid Achievement" in the Army Reserve.
