Instituted in 1969. In blackened bronze, measuring 34.7 mm (w) x 35.5 mm (h), original ribbon suspended from a hanger with pinback, near extremely fine.
Footnote: The medal was established by King Rama IX in 1969, to bestow to soldiers, police officers, civil servants and civilians who serve in the national defend service, mainly the suppression campaign against the Communism terrorist during the Vietnam War in the 1970's.
