Type I, Third Period (1873-1941). Instituted in 1861. In silver gilt with orange, red, green and white enamels, measuring 33.2 mm (w) x 59 mm (h) inclusive of its crown suspension, chipping evident in the red enamels at the 12 o'clock position, traces of gilt remains on the crown suspension, glue residue present on its original ribbon from previous board mounting, near extremely fine.
Footnote: The Most Exalted Order of the White Elephant is the most awarded order of Thailand. It was established in 1861 by King Rama IV of the Kingdom of Siam.
