Instituted in 1861. Fourth Period (1941-present). Five-piece construction, in silver gilt with red, green, white and orange enamels, maker marked on the reverse of the crown suspension, measuring 34 mm (w) x 60.5 mm (h) inclusive of its crown suspension, chipping evident in the white enamels on the elephant's head, otherwise the enamels are intact, on its original full-length ribbon, better than very fine. In its hardshelled case of issue, red felt exterior on five sides, the bottom in a salmon-coloured silk, the national emblem of Thailand in silver gilt affixed to the lid, maker marked in Thai on the inside lid, raised platform with a recessed medal bed in white felt, without interruptions in the fabrics, case extremely fine.
