In silver gilt with red, white and green enamels, marked "15" and Thai maker marked on the reverse of the crown suspension, measuring 34 mm (w) x 58 mm (h) inclusive of its crown suspension, intact enamels, rosette on its original bow-tied ribbon with pinback; and Most Noble Order of the Crown of Thailand, V Class Knight, Third Period (1941-on). Instituted in 1869. In silver gilt with red and blue enamels, measuring 32 mm (w) x 55.5 mm (h) inclusive of its crown suspension, intact enamels, original ribbon. Extremely fine.
Footnote: The Most Exalted Order of the White Elephant is the most awarded order of Thailand. It was established in 1861 by King Rama IV of the Kingdom of Siam. The Most Noble Order of the Crown of Thailand was established in 1869 by King Rama V of The Kingdom of Siam (now Thailand) for Thais, the royal family, governmental employees, and foreign dignitaries for their outstanding services to the Kingdom of Thailand. The order originally had seven classes. The special class was added by King Rama VI in 1918.
