What's a max bid?

Austria, Imperial. A Military Merit Cross, III Class Cross by V. Mayer

Instituted October 24, 1849. Type II. (1914-1918). In silver gilt, a white and red enamelled cross with gilt wreath segments in each quadrant, the obverse medallion features the inscription VER DIENST on a white enamel field, the reverse of the cross is plain white enamel, measures 30.7mm (w) x 33.6mm (h – inclusive of integral ring), weighs 15.9 grams (including ribbon), marked VM denoting Vincent Mayer Sohne manufacture and silver mark denoting 900/1000 silver fineness with Viennese manufacture between 1872-1922, worn on original ribbon showing light staining and discolouration, enamels intact with minor wear, in near extremely condition.
