An oblong badge constructed of zinc, the obverse centre bears a skull with jawbone, on a ribbed background, encompassed by a partial oak leaf wreath and topped with a banner inscribed with “STURMTRUPP”, below the wreath are two crossed stick grenades tied with a ribbon in a bow, the reverse is plain, unmarked and bears a vertical pinback, measuring 37.58 mm (w) x 54.56 mm (h), very fine.
