(Ordensschnalle). An extensive First War period Austro-Hungarian medal bar featuring five decorations, including a Silver Bravery Medal, II Class, constructed of silver, the obverse depicting a rightward-facing profile of Franz Joseph I circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with inscription of “DER TAPFERKEIT” (“FOR BRAVERY”) within a laurel branch wreath and above crossed standards, on a loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, designer marked on the obverse “Leiser”, measuring 40.06 mm in diameter, in near extremely fine condition.

A 10-Year Military Long Service Cross, constructed of gilded and silvered bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée, the obverse with pebbled arms and a central silvered medallions being a Roman numeral “10”, the reverse plain, unmarked, measuring 35.21 mm (w) x 38.92 mm (h), in better than very fine condition.

A 1914-1918 War Commemorative Medal, constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with an Austrian national eagle above an inscription of “FÜR ÖSTERREICH” (“FOR AUSTRIA”), the reverse with dates “1914-1918” inside of an oak leaf wreath, maker marked “Grienauer”, measuring 36.06 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.

A Hungarian First War Commemorative Medal, constructed of silvered bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a Hungarian coat of arms on top of crossed swords, the reverse with a central Stahlhelm (Steel Helmet) above dates of “1914-1918”, topped by an inscription of “PRO DEO ET PATRIA” (“FOR GOD AND COUNTRY”), within a laurel wreath, measuring 37.09 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.

A Franz Joseph I 60th Jubilee Medal, constructed of gilded bronze, consisting of a Cross Pattée, the obverse with a central medallion bearing a rightward-facing profile of Franz Joseph I, flanked by name, the reverse with central dates “1914-1918”, with laurel branches through the quadrants of the arms, unmarked, measuring 36.66 mm (w) x 41.98 mm (h); all set on a 128-mm long magnetic metal bar with horizontal pinback, unmarked, in extremely fine condition.
