What's a max bid?

Austria, Imperial. An Order of the Iron Crown, III Class with II Class Small Decoration, c.1918

(Kaiserlicher Orden der Eisernen Krone). Instituted in 1805. Type III. (1860-1918). Military Division. presenting a double headed eagle sharing a single large crown with a sword and orb clutched in the talons, above a yellow, red and green enamelled Lombardy crown, the obverse presents a blue enamelled shield inscribed F., a military decoration of a green enamelled wreath sits below the talons and along the wings, the reverse shield bears the year 1815, measures 56.9mm (w) x 28.8mm (h), weighs 23.5 grams (including ribbon and small decorations), worn on a triangular ribbon with gilt crossed swords and the small decoration for a II Class award, enamels on crown and on wreath, minimal gilt wear, in near very fine condition.

 

Contained in its original case of issue, featuring a brown leatherette exterior, the interior features a crème coloured silk lid and velvet recessed medalbed, 62mm (w) x 122.5mm (l) x 22.4mm (h), hinge and catch functional, in very fine condition.
