(Statuten für den Kaiserlich Oesterreichischen Franz Joseph-Orden). This is an extremely well-preserved volume of statutes of the Franz Joseph Order. It is constructed of a heavy card stock binding with a faux dark blue leather exterior, with a gold embossed inscription of “STATUTEN FÜR DEN KAISERLICH OESTERREICHISCHEN FRANZ JOSEPH-ORDEN” (“STATUTES FOR THE IMPERIAL AUSTRIAN FRANZ JOSEPH ORDER”) on the cover. The book features 22 pages with details of the provisions of the order, including its classes and how it may be worn by a recipient. It also includes four pages with full-colour, captioned illustrations of the various decorations of the order, with each page separated by a wax paper divider. While the book lacks publisher information, it features remarks by Emperor Franz Joseph dated 23 March 1908. The book measures 268 mm (w) x 350 mm (h). With the exception of some minor, age-appropriate material fatigue, it is in extremely fine condition.
