A first and second war period medal ribbon bar with three medals, awards, and decorations, consisting of 1) A Cross for Voluntary War Aid; constructed of gilded white metal alloy; the obverse depicting a cross, with a raised royal crown on the top arm, a shield on the bottom arm, and the dates “1914” and “1918”; the reverse depicts the raised crowned royal Friedrich I; on a loop for suspension; measuring 39.05 mm (w) x 39.04 mm (h); weighing 14.2 grams. 2) A Social Welfare Medal; constructed of silvered bronze; the obverse depicting a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika in its talons superimposed on a cross; the reverse inscribed “Medaille für Deutsche Volkspflege” (Medal for German Social Welfare); on a loop for suspension; measuring 37.98 mm in diameter; weighing 24.0 grams. 3) A War Merit Cross without Swords; a Maltese cross in bronze; on loop for suspension; the obverse pebbled, with a circular raised border of oak leaves on the obverse with a raised mobile swastika in the center; the reverse with a circular raised border of oak leaves bearing the institution date “1939” in raised numbering; measuring 48.19 mm (w) x 47.74 mm (h); weighing 24.0 grams; suspended from a medal bar, with a zink core, dark green wool backer, and horizontal pinback; measuring 80 mm (w) x 33 mm (h - not including any of the medals); in overall near very fine condition.
