What's a max bid?

Brazil, Empire. A Medal for the Surrender of Uruguayana, Officer’s Silver Medal c.1865

(Medalha da Rendição de Uruguayana). Instituted on September 20, 1865 by Pedro II. 1865-1866 issue. A rounded medal constructed of silver, with an engraved obverse inscription that stands URUGUAYANA encircled by an engraved tied laurel and oak branches, reverse inscribed 18 DE SETEMBRO DE 1865 (September 18, 1865) circumscribed by a laurel wreath, measuring 20.17 mm (w) x 23.54 mm (h - inclusive integral ring), with minor wear edges and toned silver, accompanied by original breast ribbon, fine. Footnote: The Medal for the Surrender of Uruguayana was authorized by Emperor Pedro II to recognize Chiefs, Officers and enlisted men who participated on the siege of the city Uruguayana, which was taking for Paraguayan troops led by Antonio de la Cruz Estigarribia, on September 1, 1865.
