Insignia in silver gilt with red, white and black enamels, mounted to an eight-pointed silver gilt star base, each star point with five emanating rays, maker marked "CONDECORAÇÕES RANDAL RIO" on the reverse cartouche, measuring 82 mm (w) x 81 mm (h), triple push pins, intact enamels, spotting evident on the obverse, near extremely fine.
Footnote: The Order of Judicial Military Merit was instituted on June 12, 1957 by the Higher Military Court and awarded for services to military justice, in four grades: Grand Cross, High Distinction, Distinction and Good Service.
