A very scarce set of two General epaulettes of the Brazilian royal army used from 1858 to 1865. Of high quality manufacture, two rare Brazilian General epaulettes consist of a fully gilded brass base with patterns of fine engraved-star rows on the spine, along with embroidered golden-yellow rolled bullion wires in the form of traditional laurel leaves with lentils details, the obverse field composes by a raised gilded brass base with rolled wire frame, circumscribed by embroidery in twisted, flat, and rolled gold bullion wires on the outer rim, with double row of gold bullions fringes that form a dense layer sewn into the underside, the reverse consists of brass base and screws, measuring 184 mm x 127 mm, with few loose fringes, both epaulettes with small curvature in the spine, one epaulette has loose spine, minor loss of gilt, fine.
