In pickled copper, with large crossed rifles indicating that it was manufactured by Jacoby Brothers of Vancouver, measuring 35.5 mm (w) x 48.2 mm (h), both lugs intact, scattered gilt wear, near extremely fine.
Footnote: The Battalion was raised in Alberta under the authority of G.O. 103A, August 15, 1915. Mobilization headquarters was at Edmonton, Alberta. The Battalion sailed April 22, 1916 with a strength of 36 officers and 1,018 other ranks under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel G.B. McLeod. The Battalion was absorbed by the 9th Reserve Battalion in England. It was disbanded on September 15, 1920.
