In sterling silver, maker marked "J D BAILEY" on the reverse, measuring 47 mm (w) x 46.3 mm (h), both lugs intact, extremely fine.
Footnote: The Battalion was raised in Northern Ontario with mobilization headquarters at North Bay under the authority of G.O. 69, July 15, 1915. The Battalion sailed February 16, 1917 under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel A, Earchman with a strength of 31 officers and 756 other ranks. The Battalion served in France as the 6th Battalion, Canadian Railway Troops. It was disbanded on September 15, 1920.
