Canada General Service Medal, Seaman John S. McLeod, Hamilton Naval Brigade - 1 Clasp - FENIAN RAID 1866 (Sm. J.S. McLeod Hamilton Naval Bde.). Naming is officially impressed. Very dark patina, "n" in Hamilton has been double struck, edge nicks, original ribbon, suspended from hanger engraved "J.S. McLeod" with pinback, slight bend and oxidation to the clasp, very fine. Footnote: Seaman John S. McLeod was one of ten members of the Hamilton Naval Brigade awarded the CGSM with the 1866 clasp for the Fenian Raids. He is listed on page 192 of the "Canada General Service Medal Roll, 1866-70" by John Thyen.
