2nd Canadian Mounted Rifle Battalion Cap Badge, Type I with Brackets Around ""B.C.H."" (in browning copper, maker marked ""TIPTAFT B'HAM"" on the reverse, measuring 37.5 mm (w) x 38.5 mm (w), both lugs intact); and 4th Canadian Mounted Rifle Battalion Cap Badge, Type II with ""C.M.M.R."" (in browning copper, measuring 42 mm (w) x 46.5 mm (h), both lugs intact). Near extremely fine.
Footnote: The 2nd Mounted Rifle Battalion was organized in Victoria, British Columbia, on March 15, 1915 and began serving in France in September 1915. It was disbanded on November 15, 1920. The 4th Mounted Rifles Battalion was organized on March 15, 1915, in Toronto, Ontario. It served in France and Holland and was disbanded on November 15, 1920.

Dr. Goodwin had a successful career as an educator and prominent physician in New York as well as actively serving in both World Wars with the United States Medical Corps.
