What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

Your entered maximum bid will not be disclosed to the seller or other auction participants at any point.

Max bidding example:

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

Hardcover, fire orange cloth cover, entitled "UWO Contingent COTC: The History of the Canadian Officers' Training Corps at the University of Western Ontario" by Hartley Munro Thomas, published by The University of Western Ontario, London, Canada in 1956. It documents the organization of the COTC at UWO during the First World War and its subsequent involvement in the war, followed by the Inter-War years and its participation in the Second World War, under its various commanders. It is divided into ten chapters: 1 - Introduction; 2 - Lieut.-Col. T.J. Murphy 1915-1919; 3 - Interregnum - 1920-1922 and Colonel W.J. Brown VD, 1922-1930; 4 - Lieut.-Col. E.E. Reilly 1931-1937; 5 - Lieut.-Col. A. Woods 1937-1939 / Lieut.-Col. G.W. Little, OBE MVO MC ED 1939-1940; 6 - Colonel Leonard 1940-1943; 7 - Air Training and Organization of the UATC (University Air Training Corps); 8 - Lieut.-Col. Frank Steling 1943-1947; 9 - Assumption College; 10 - Waterloo College. It finishes with a Conclusion, Sources and Authorities, Appendix, and Index. The book contains 424 pages of text, printed in black ink, on an off-white paper stock, plus twelve pages of black and white plates placed between pages 16 and 17, with fifteen photographs, illustrating nine commanders, along with six group shots, on a white coated paper stock, measuring 155 mm (w) x 235 mm (h) x 32 mm (d). It exhibits scuffing on the cover, however, it has experienced wear along the inner hinge on the back cover, exposing the underlying binding. Very fine.
