(เครื่องราชอิสริยาภรณ์อันเป็นที่เชิดชูยิ่งช้างเผือก). Instituted in 1861 by King Mongkut. Type III. A silver 16 point silver star, with elaborately pierced designs in each ray, the obverse center presents a white enamelled elephant on a gilt background, surrounded with a single faceted ring and by a red and green enamelled flower pattern, the 12 o’clock ray presents a gilt Thai crown, the reverse presents a single vertical pin assembly, measures 78.3mm (w) x 79.6mm (h), weighs 70.9 grams, heavily plated on reverse and edges, wear to tips of numbers rays, enamels intact, catch is pinched close and will not release pin, in very fine condition.
