Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a mobile swastika, overlaid by a diving Luftwaffe eagle clutching dual lightning bolts in its talons, the reverse with two visible rivets securing the obverse eagle in palace, with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked however exhibiting the manufacturing characteristics of Wilhelm Deumer, measuring 42.14 mm (w) x 53.71 mm (h), weighing 25.6 grams, with oxidation and loss of finish evident throughout, in overall very fine condition.
