(Wehrmacht Dienstmedaillen). A lot of five service medals, including an Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918, constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, on loop for suspension, consisting of a Cross Pattée, the obverse bearing central wreathed dates “1914-1918”, with crossed swords through the centrepiece, maker marked “KMF” for an unidentified manufacturer, measuring 37.65 mm (w) x 42.19 mm (h), weighing 14.5 grams, in extremely fine condition; an Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918 for Non-Combatants, constructed of bronze magnetic metal, on loop for suspension, consisting of a Cross Pattée, the obverse bearing central wreathed dates “1914-1918”, the reverse maker marked “W.R.” for Werner Redo, Saarlautern, measuring 37.67 mm (w) x 42.55 mm (h), weighing 14.2 grams, in near extremely fine condition; a Kyffhäuser Commemorative Medal of 1914/1918, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension, unmarked, measuring 30.98 mm (w) x 47.02 mm (h), weighing 18.8 grams, in near extremely fine condition; a West Wall Medal, constructed of bronzed zink, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, the obverse bearing a raised pillbox topped by a crossed sword and shovel and a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing an inscription “FÜR ARBEIT ZUM SCHUTZE DEUTSCHLANDS” (“FOR WORK IN THE DEFENCE OF GERMANY”), unmarked, measuring 33.06 mm (w) x 45.38 mm (h), weighing 12.9 grams, accompanied by its period original package of issues, constructed of light brown paper stock, the exterior bearing an inscription of “DEUTSCHES SCHUTZWALL-EHRENZEICHEN”, with a maker’s mark of “CARL POELLATH, SCHROBENHAUSEN”, measuring 60 mm (w) x 106 mm (h), with some oxidation and loss of finish evident to the medal, in overall better than very fine condition, and; an Honour Cross of the German Mother, Silver Grade, constructed of silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Latin Cross with blue and white enameled arms, the obverse with a central black swastika on a white enameled disc, circumscribed by a raised inscription of “DER DEUTSCHEN MUTTER” (“TO THE GERMAN MOTHER”), with radiant sun rays joining the quadrants, the reverse etched with an institution date of “16. DEZEMBER 1938” and a signature of the Führer, unmarked, measuring 35.07 mm (w) x 45.02 mm (h), weighing 14.4 grams (inclusive of ribbon), with loss of finish and flecking of enamels evident, in overall very fine condition.
