(Kriegsmarine Papier). A group of three award documents to Otto Renken, including a certificate for a Kreta (Crete) Cuff Title. Dated 21 December 1943, it is signed by Vizeadmiral (Vice Admiral) Fritz Lange and identifies Renken’s rank as Marinehilfsinspektor. The certificate measures 143 mm (w) x 217 mm (h) and is in extremely fine condition. It is followed by a certificate for a War Merit Cross, II Class with Swords, dated 30 January and issued in Athens. It measures 140 mm (w) x 197 mm (h) and is in extremely fine condition. The group is completed by a certificate for a War Merit Cross, I Class with Swords, dated 20 April 1944 and issued in Athens. It is signed by Vizeadmiral Fritz Lange and measures 140 mm (w) x 215 mm (h). Ranke is now identified as holding the rank of Marineinspektor. With the exception of minor material fatigue, it is in a near extremely fine condition.
