Constructed of silvered bronze; the obverse depicting a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika in its talons superimposed on a cross; the reverse inscribed “Medaille für Deutsche Volkspflege” (Medal for German Social Welfare); on a loop for suspension from its correct replacement ribbon; measuring 38.01 mm in diameter; weighing 24.3 grams; in overall very fine condition.
