Germany, NSDAP. A Set of Golden Party Badges

(Goldenes Ehrenzeichen der NSDAP). A set of Golden Party Badges matched to the same recipient, including a standard size badge, constructed of gilded tombak with multi-coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, with a central black enameled mobile swastika on a white enameled disc, within a red enameled ring bearing an inscription of “NATIONAL-SOZIALISTISCHE D.A.P.” (“NATIONAL SOCIALIST GERMAN WORKERS’ PARTY”), the reverse with a barrel hinge and flattened vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, stamped with a NSDAP membership number of “95050”, unmarked but with the physical characteristics of manufacture by Deschler & Sohn, Munich, measuring 30.50 in diameter, weighing 14.5 grams, in extremely fine condition; accompanied by a small version, of identical construction and composition, the reverse with a horizontal pinback, stamped with a NSDAP member number of “95050”, maker marked “JOS. FUESS, MÜNCHEN”, measuring 23.89 mm in diameter, 7.6 grams, with minor flecking of enamels and some oxidation of the reverse pinback baseplate, in overall near extremely fine condition.
