A lot of three medals, including a War Merit Medal, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised Maltese Cross with a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR KRIEGS-VERDIENST 1939” (“FOR WAR MERIT 1939”), unmarked, measuring 32.14 mm in diameter, in very fine condition; a War Merit Cross II Class with Swords, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms, the obverse bearing a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a wreathed date of “1939”, the suspension loop maker marked with Präsidialkanzlei code “55” for J.E. Hammer & Söhne, Geringswalde, measuring 48.35 mm (w) x 48.51 mm (h), weighing 26.6 grams, in extremely fine condition, and; an Italian-German African Campaign Medal, constructed of bronze, with an integral suspension loop, the obverse bearing a raised central Arco de Fileni of Brega, flanked by a fasces and swastika, circumscribed by inscription “ITALIENISCH DEUTSCHER FELDZUG IN AFRICA” (“ITALIAN-GERMAN CAMPAIGN IN AFRICA”), reverse with raised image of German and Italian soldiers grappling with a crocodile, maker marked on reverse “LORIOLI, MILANO”, with some oxidation evident, in overall very fine condition 30.87 mm (w) x 35.37 mm (h), weighing 14.9 grams (inclusive of ribbon), with some oxidation evident, in overall very fine condition.
