(Luftwaffe Schulterklappen). Constructed of dark grey wool, trimmed with woven golden-yellow piping (flying units), obverse a single band of machine-embroidered silver aluminum wire tresse, each with a reverse flap and reinforced buttonholes, unmarked, measuring 46 mm (w) x 102 mm (l), in extremely fine condition and very scarce. This type of straps were worn by the Russian volunteers serving in the Luftwaffe flying unit, although it is unclear if they had any combat experience. Ex George Peterson collection.
