Germany, Luftwaffe. A Reconnaissance Unit Squadron Clasp, Silver Grade, by Gebrüder Schneider

(Frontflugspange für Aufklärer in Silber). Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse with a central laurel wreath with a leftward facing eagle with a static swastika on the bottom of the wreath, and with nine oak leaves on either side of the wreath, the reverse with a barrel hinge and banjo-style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, marked with the logo of Gebrüder Schneider, Wien, on the reverse, measuring 76.23 mm (w) x 25.36 mm (h), weighing 15.8 grams, in fine condition.
