Germany, Federal Republic. A Special Grade Panzer Assault Badge for 50 Engagements, 1957 Version

(Panzerkampfabzeichen mit Einsatzzahl “50”). Constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom with a plaque bearing a raised number “50”, overlaid by a central Panzer IV rolling over logs, with is left track extending over the wreath, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, with two visible rivets holding the obverse Panzer in place, unmarked, measuring 45.92 mm (w) x 55.56 mm (h), the Panzer has loosened from its fittings, in overall near extremely fine condition.
