Germany, Wehrmacht. An 8.8 cm Flak 36 Scale Model, by Hausser-Elastolin

(8,8-cm-FlaK-36 Modell). A well-preserved and exceptionally detailed 8.8 cm Flak 36 scale model. Constructed of multiple pieces of olive-drab magnetic metal, it consists of a gun with a raisable barrel, mounted on a stand with four arms, two of which are collapsible. The other two arms connect to two bogies, each fully mobile, with two sets of functional composite rubber tires. Dual swivel screws with functional wheels detach the gun from the bogies, while an additional functional wheel affixed to the gun raises and lowers the barrel. Each tire features a raised maker’s mark of “HAUSSER” for the firm of Hausser-Elastolin of Ludwigsburg (near Stuttgart). Some oxidation is evident to parts of the gun hardware, with consequent loss of paint, but the set is in an overall near extremely fine condition.
