Disk in sterling silver with black shell background, hand-engraved insignia, held in place within a sterling silver frame, marked with the British lion, a leopard's head (made in London), date marked "a" (1916) and "PATENT" on the reverse, the maker's mark obscured, measuring 27.7 mm in diameter, horizontal pinback, chipping and crazing evident in the black enamels to the right of the insignia, fine.
