Disk in sterling silver with black shell background, hand-engraved insignia, held in place within a sterling silver frame, maker marked "G&A", marked with the British lion, a leopard's head (made in London) and date marked "D" (1939) on the reverse, measuring 27.5 mm in diameter, horizontal pinback, very light contact, near extremely fine.
